Dressing dapper means different things to different people but the concept is the same --looking stylish, yet classic. There are several dapper dressers that set an example, such as Justin Timberlake or Scott Disick, because of their impeccable style and always-in-fashion wardrobe. Looking dapper is simple, as long as you have an eye for color combinations. Look to fashion icons, the color wheel or your favorite colors in your closet to create a dapper wardrobe.
* Choose a suit that flatters your skin tone. Dapper dressers do not mind taking fashion risks; however, they do know what looks good on them and what does not. Choose a two- or three-button jacket in a dark or light gray with coordinating slacks. Gray tones are universally flattering and will look good no matter what.
* Pair the suit with a coordinating vest in the same pattern. The dapper dresser who wants to take a more fashion-forward approach can choose a vest in a contrasting color; however, then you need to stay with a solid shirt color, instead of a pattern
* Pick a shirt color that coordinates with your suit and pattern. Dapper dressers can have fun with the pattern and colors of the shirt. Pick a purple-and-pink striped shirt to pair with a gray suit, or choose a dark green patterned shirt. and Coordinate a tie to wear with the shirt and suit. Be trendy with your tie choice because dapper dressers are stylish in their clothing selections. Pick colors from your shirt selection and coordinate the tie, such as a light pink checked tie with a purple-and-pink striped shirt.
* Wear shoes that are comfortable, yet stylish. Younger dapper dressers can be more fashion-forward with their shoe selection, such as clean sneakers with a suit or loafers. Older fashionable men can wear loafers also, but can incorporate dressy shoes in with the suit. 6 Complete your look with accessories such as a fedora for your head. Other accessories are tie clips, watches and cuff links.
